Dentistry

Our high-tech dental x-ray unit gives us the ability to evaluate the internal structure of your pet’s teeth and mouth, detecting and diagnosing problems before they become apparent.  With the use of our Odontoson Ultrasonic Scaler, the quality of calculus and plaque removal is as advanced as you would find in your dentist's office.  Also, the scaler has a super-low heat-producing tip that minimizes tooth and soft tissue structural damage.

Should a tooth need to be extracted, our high-speed drill makes the process as painless as possible.  For the preservation of a diseased tooth, extensive periodontal therapy is available.  If your pet is a candidate for a root canal or bonding, we are able to perform the procedure.

Did you know that oral disease is the number one problem diagnosed in dogs and cats?  According to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of dental disease by the time they are three years old!

Plaque and bacteria buildup on the teeth, without proper care, can progress to dental disease causing bad breath, yellow teeth, tooth decay, swollen and bleeding gums, tooth loss, and eventually damage to the heart, kidneys, and other internal organs.

If you take care of your pets' teeth properly, you will help them live a longer, healthier lifestyle.  AVDS recommends to brush your pet's teeth and if you suspect a more serious problem, see your veterinarian right away.  Speak with us about about further specific recommendations for your pet.
